Excella Equine Estates and Excella Equine Park are the culmination of a lifelong passion, a dream seeded in childhood and nurtured through decades of dedication, vision, and family legacy.
In 1979, the Levasseurs formed a partnership with Baywood Park Ltd. in California, where Lisa immersed herself in the heart of the equestrian scene for eight formative years.During this time, Excella Arabians produced multiple champions across North America, including five Top Ten National Champions, two National Champions, and a Reserve National Champion in disciplines ranging from Halter to English Pleasure and Driving.
Lisa Levasseur’s journey began in 1976, sparked by the dreams of a young girl who found her calling in horses. What started as a personal passion soon became a family pursuit. The Levasseurs established Excella Arabians, a training and boarding facility in Stony Plain that quickly gained recognition for its excellence. Their commitment and shared love of horses laid the foundation for what would become a legacy of distinction in the Arabian horse world. After years of hands-on experience and success throughout Alberta and British Columbia, including time spent at the renowned Terracana Ranch Resort, Lisa returned home with a new vision: to blend her equine expertise with her family’s deep roots in land development. The result is Excella Equine Park, a modern equestrian haven that unites exceptional training with thoughtfully designed acreage living. Founded with a desire to create something truly unique, Excella Equine Estates is more than a development, it’s a living tribute to a family's passion, purpose, and partnership. At its heart is Lisa, leading a progressive, relationship-based training program focused on building confident horses and riders. Expanding on the original Excella Arabians legacy, the breeding program now includes elite Friesian, Saddlebred, and approved Warmblood crosses with Arabian lineage, bred for movement, temperament, and versatility at the highest levels of sport. Now, with the completion of a state-of-the-art barn and indoor arena underway, Excella Equine Park stands as a vibrant new chapter, honoring the past while paving the way for a bold, inspired future in equestrian living.
