What is Excella Equine Estates?
Excella Equine Estates is a proposed gated equestrian acreage development in Stony Plain, Alberta. It offers 2+ acre horse-friendly residential lots, custom home design options, and access to future equestrian amenities including a heated indoor arena and full-service horse boarding.

We’re located just 1 minute west of Stony Plain and approximately 40 minutes from Edmonton, offering the perfect balance of rural living with city convenience.
What makes this an “equestrian community”?
Excella is specifically designed for horse owners. Each lot is horse-friendly, and the community will include riding trails, a heated arena, a barn, and full boarding and care services—all within walking distance of your home.
Can I keep my horse on my property?
Yes. Our lots are zoned for equestrian use and designed so that you can keep your horse at home with space for barns and turnouts. You can also board your horse at the Excella Equine Park facility within the development.
What lot sizes are available?
Each lot is at least 2 acres, fully serviced, and positioned to take advantage of the natural landscape and views.
What home styles can I choose from?
We offer several approved equestrian home designs including:

Can I bring my own builder?
We encourage buyers to choose from our experienced builder partners, such as Stellar Homes and PlatinumBilt Construction. If you have a builder in mind, we can review and approve their plan to ensure it aligns with development standards.
Are the lots fully serviced?
All lots come fully serviced with water, power, and gas access. Each property is ready for home construction and equestrian use.
Is there boarding or training on-site?
Excella Equine Park will offer full-service boarding, training, and horse care, along with:
A heated indoor riding arena
Wash racks and rubber-mattress stalls
On-call vet and farrier services
Outdoor paddocks and riding rings

When will construction begin?
Lot sales and development are underway. Please contact us directly for the timelines on availability, building schedules, and facility progress.

All lots at Excella Equine Estates are zoned for country residential use with equestrian permissions, allowing you to build a primary residence and outbuildings and maintain horses on your property. We ensure all developments meet local county standards and subdivision guidelines.

With limited equestrian communities in Alberta and proximity to Edmonton, Excella offers substantial long-term value for buyers seeking both acreage living and equine amenities.
